How long should processing take before an ebay seller ships the item?

How long should processing take before an ebay seller ships the item? The seller didnt ship my item, video game, until 7 days after it was already paid for. Is it unfair to leave negative feedback? Is it fair to leave positive feedback?

Do not leave negative feedback for that. It is quite normal for things to take that long. Sometimes it will take a few days for the money to get to the seller, especially if it is an e-cheque. You should always leave positive feedback, if the goods were as described and you receive them in good order and condition. Delays in shipping and holdups in the process of the item getting to you is often beyond the control of the seller.

By the way, have you sent the seller a message asking why it took them seven days to ship the item from the day you paid?

I have bought dozens of items on eBay, and usually paid via Pay Pal within minutes of winning the items. Most sellers have stated on their sites how they go about shipping. Some only do it on one day a week, others more frequently, and all of them will only do so once they have received the money and it is clearly in their account.

If you are new to eBay I can understand your wanting to get what you bought quickly and expecting that the item would be sent immediately.Remember you are only one of many hundreds of thousands of satisfied buyers. Buying on eBay is different from buying at a shop. In time you will get used to waiting the required number of days before receiving what you buy.

In future it may be advisable to contact the seller before you bid to enquire about their shipping turnaround, this way you will not be disappointed.
