1) Find a market where the product is selling ( in demand )
2) Find a supplier for that product
3) Compare the price you will be paying for that product with the typical price it sells for on ebay.
4) Work out your profits on every sale in advance!
5) Get your customers off ebay and onto a website to cut down your costs. This is key.

The above steps could(will) save you countless months of frustration if you don't do the homework before you merrily set up your business. Focus on buying stock that is in demand which has a decent profit margin. Don't waste your time with very low priced items - there is usually a lot of competition and you end up making very little after all the fees are taken off you.

It's really easy to make 2k a month on ebay ( turnover ). It's a lot harder to make 2k profit a month on there. A lot of people claiming to make 5k a month on there... are probably turning that money over but not making that much in profit.
