So I bought something on ebay but I wasn't satisfied with my purchase so I returned it. I just got an email stating that my payment has been refunded through Paypal and was given the receipt number and everything. But the problem is, I don't even have a Paypal account! So I decided to make a Paypal account but now I don't know what to do to put the money in there because my balance still says $0.00. Can someone help me please?

Yes, I can certainly help you out with this!
When you originally paid for the item, instead of logging in to a PayPal account, you simply entered in your credit card (CC) information. However, when you pay this way, PayPal is still "processing" the payment for the seller. So basically what happens is, you're paying with PayPal but not creating an account that can be accessed at a later time. So when a refund is made on one of these transactions, the funds are automatically returned to the CC or debit card you used. You should see these funds on your CC balance within 5 business days, however if it takes longer, you'll want to contact your CC company to find out the status of the credit.

You can't get a refund through PayPal unless you have a PayPal account. That seller doesn't know what he is talking about. He could not issue you a refund through PayPal unless you paid him through PayPal.
How did you pay him? Email him and tell him to either send Your money back or put it in your PayPal account that you just opened. He will need the email address you registered with PayPal to deposit the money into your account. You cannot do anything.

- you should the sell with this ask the to help and if they will not give them a bad feed back on ebay I am not sure what ebay can do to help you . how did you pay for the item
