Over the past year or so many of my favourite ebay sellers have moved to ebid. Why is this?

I have bought my books, CDs and other funky things off a core of about 11 ebay sellers, but over the past year they have emailed me to say they are not selling on ebay anymore and they are selling on ebid instead. Why is this?

Because eBid is cheaper - no listing fee and no final fee practically free and popular.

I'm with eBay and eBid.net = I prefer eBid.net

i moved from ebay to ebid- foremost reason being the fee increases - the choice i had was to raise prices to be able to carry on with ebay or cut my losses. I chose the latter and signed up with ebid,
i find it a much friendlier place to buy and sell and is growing rapidly.

As you give the eBid link, it looks more as though this is an 'advertising' post rather than a question.

If it is a genuine question, the reason that sellers have moved away from eBay is because eBay no longer values it's sellers, particularly the smaller-volume sellers of one-off items.

They have made it harder and harder for the 'little guy' to sell on eBay and have lost sight of the fact that these very sellers are the people who make money for eBay, the company.

Sellers are the only ones to pay eBay fees and they are the ones who are being treated so very badly (see the Announcement Board on your own local site for all of the changes sellers have had to cope with over the last year).

    eBid is far more seller-friendly.

Generally no fees, or pay a one-off fee for free lifetime listing. eBid's listing form isn't so eay to use if you create a lot of listings, but on the whole, a far better deal and environment for sellers.
